Microsoft releases Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Build 15254.1 for Mobile

Which begs the question, does it really matter that Windows Phone is dead?

One of the things Microsoft has been pushing hard with Windows 10 is automatic updates. Mainstream Support ended on October 9, 2012, and now Extended Support is ending on October 10, 2017. Another flaw that is fixed by the recent Patch Tuesday roll out is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability present in Microsoft SharePoint Server, affecting SharePoint Enterprise Server 2013 Service Pack 1 and SharePoint Enterprise Server 2016. "Windows 10 was designed as a service, whereby feature updates are required a couple times a year". Microsoft has released many such updates, including three major ones: November Update (version 1511), Anniversary Update (version 1607), and Creators Update (version 1703).

Microsoft said users of Windows 10 Home, Pro, Education, and Enterprise should check to see what version their devices are running. Meanwhile, sales of the HP Elite X3 will continue until 2019. An attacker can exploit the vulnerability by sending a maliciously crafted request to an affected SharePoint system. "If the software, if the operating system ecosystem isn't there then we are not an operating system company". A person with less system privileges would be less impacted, but if a user with full admin rights opened the file, it would open the door for an attacker to wreak havoc on a system or network.

These new elements include the Navigation View control that is designed to offer users a simple layout and menu that makes it easier to get around apps, the Reveal Highlight that adds a glow given to the cursor that highlights borders and other elements of the interface, the Acrylic Material that can be used as a background or in menus and has the look of frosted plastic, animations that link different parts of app interfaces and support for a wider range of gestures.

Also hitting the end of the road are Office 2007 and Outlook 2007.

Microsoft has now started pushing the Windows 10 Build 16299.15 (Fall Creators Update) to the Insiders in Release Preview ring. "Paid money. wrote apps 4 them. but volume of users is too low for most companies to invest". Customers are being advised to re-synchronise their WSUS/SCCM servers and the Delta Updates Binaries will be expired.
